Karl Rove to leave White House

Karl Rove says he is going to leave the White House at the end of the month.

There are fewer people in the world of politics that I have more disdain for than Rove. As for his personal flaws, I view him as arrogant at best, a tyrant at worst. More troubling though is what I view as his lack of respect for ethics and the rule of law.

Don't get me wrong. I think he's brilliant. Few people could skirt the law or exploit areas of weakness as well as he could. He could find the gray in areas of American life once thought to be black & white.

While it is nice to see his distance from the seat of power widening, I bet this won't be the last we hear of Rove. I suspect he will be doing some consulting for the Republican Party. Perhaps, we may even see him as the subject of some future Congressional investigation.
